Join the Greensboro Symphony for a night of spectacle unlike any other with the jaw-dropping acrobats of Cirque de la Symphonie! Marvel at high-flying aerialists, contortionists and acrobatic feats of wonder set to classical masterpieces and contemporary hits! Cirque de la Symphonie’s aerial artists, jugglers, illusionists and more bring the magic of Cirque to Greensboro. The San Francisco Examiner calls them “dazzling and elegant, if not death-defying!”

This Saturday performance is an unusual melding of the GSO’s Tanger Outlets Masterworks and POPS Series, combining both audiences for what is certain to be a packed house. The Sunday matinee is targeted toward families with special outreach to at-risk students enrolled in Guilford County Schools. Musical repertoire will include classical hits such as Bernstein’s Candide Overture, Bizet’s Carmen Suite and Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov — it is certain to be a night of electrifying music & pyrotechnic acrobatics at the Greensboro Symphony!

About GSO 2014-2015 Season

In its 2014-2015 Masterworks series, Greensboro Symphony (GSO) explores themes of musical chemistry related to the award-winning TV show, Breaking Bad! The POPS series continues to show the full diversity of the GSO by pulling from country, classic rock and Broadway genres. Through its Chamber series, the GSO gives audiences a more intimate concert experience with the artists as they perform piano and string chamber works. The GSO also continues its Keep Kids in Tune educational programming, which serves over 50,000 children throughout the Piedmont Triad.
