Program

The orchestra performs under the direction of James Allbritten. The evening’s program will include a rendition of Camille Saint-Saëns Samson et Dalila: Danse Bacchanale. Also featured at the event will be Marco Núñez, a third year orchestral student, and winner of the Fall Concerto Competition. Nunez won with his performance of Jacques Ibert’s Concerto for Flute and Orchestra, which he will perform at the concert. The evening concludes with Symphony No. 5, op. 64, E minor by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Notes

This concert marks the final performance of James Allbritten’s tenure as Interim Conductor for the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra. Allbritten served as guest conductor for UNCSA during the search for a permanent replacement.
