The Pride, by Alexi Kaye Campbell: Two explosive love stories in alternating eras, exploring betrayal, forgiveness, and fate. In 1958, Philip is married to Sylvia, an artist, who is illustrating a children’s book written by Oliver. After a dinner that introduces Philip to Oliver, the two men have an affair that rocks Philip’s understanding of himself. In 2008, Philip has just left Oliver due to Oliver’s addiction to anonymous sex. Their mutual friend, Sylvia, tries to help Oliver cope, as he struggles to understand himself and his relationship to others. The Pride examines how we treat those we love, how we handle ourselves, and what we learn from those who came before us. Directed by Jesse R. Gephart. Assistant directed by David Henderson.
