First Thursday Gallery Talk with Kristine Stiles Thursday, May 2, 5:30 PM Join us on First Thursday for Gallery Talk on Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey with France Family Professor of Art, Art History & Visual Studies, Kristine Stiles. Stiles contributed an essay to the 160 page, full-color exhibition catalogue Wangechi Mutu: A Fantastic Journey.
The Triptych Thursday, May 2, 7 PM A screening of The Triptych, a short-film series of bio pics that highlights the work of artists Sanford Biggers, Wangechi Mutu and Barron Claiborne (Dir. Terence Nance and Barron Claiborne, Dir. Photography Shawn Peters, 2012, 71mins). These films contrast the art, views and experiences of three artists who are contemporaries, luminaries and friends. 5:30 PM Cash Bar.
