Lakota Craft

Lakota Craft is a senior at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is pursuing a major in both Mass Communications: Broadcasting and English: Professional Writing, along with minors in Media Integration and Creative Writing. Since January 2021, she has worked for the Pine Needle newspaper at UNC Pembroke as a reporter and a tutor at the Writing Center; she also interned at Native Visions Magazine. During her time at UNC Pembroke, she has learned how to use language to write for different genres including creative fiction, poetry, academia, non-creative fiction, news articles, feature stories, and academic grants, along with other forms of writing.
