Hairspray: Book by Mark O’Donnell & Thomas Meehan. Music by Marc Shaiman. Lyrics by Scott Wittman & Marc Shaiman. Based on the film written and directed by John Waters.  It’s 1962 in Baltimore and Tracy Turnblad is determined to make it on to TV’s most popular show. Winner of eight Tonys, this romantic treat is full of surprises, energetic dance numbers, and bigger than life hair.
