French Masters - Debussy and Rodin, Poulenc and Feininger, Franck and Monet: these French contemporaries explored common themes in their work. Whether they departed from traditional techniques, selected the same subject matter, or expressed similar sentiments, each pair of masters created works of great beauty and originality. The music is performed by two accomplished musicians who teach at East Carolina University in Greenville.
Docent-led tours will be available at 1:45 pm before each concert in the series. The tours, tailored to music lovers, link art in the Museum’s collection to that day's chamber music performance. Reservations must be made at least one week in advance by contacting Christine Molesky, (919) 664-6785. Tours are free; paid admission to ticketed exhibitions is required.
