"The Knights, a New York chamber orchestra, comprises an exhilarating fellowship of musicians whose diverse repertoire and programming include classical masterworks, world premieres, roots music, gypsy tunes, Neapolitan love songs, dances and more. Its members perform with ensembles ranging from the New York Philharmonic and Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Orchestra to groups in Joe's Pub (part of The Joseph Papp Public Theater in Manhattan). The collective includes composers, arrangers, singer-songwriters and improvisers who offer a broad range of cultural influences. New York string quartet Brooklyn Rider, whose members also are in the Knights, returns to Memorial Hall after a 2008 appearance with Yo-Yo Ma and ... 2010 appearance[s] with [the] experimental acoustic group 2 Foot Yard and as part of September Prelude."
