The North Carolina Master Chorale, one of the Southeast's major symphonic choirs, celebrates is 75th season with a concert of mass excerpts entitled Motus Missæ. Accompanied by symphony orchestra, the 170 voices of the Chorale will perform a "mixed mass" concert. The repertoire spans three centuries and features excerpted movements from five masses, including Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Duruflé, Stravinsky, and Karl Jenkins' Te Deum.
The chorale will be accompanied by symphony orchestra under the baton of Maestro Alfred Sturgis, NCMC music director. There will be a pre-concert lecture in the lobby of the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at 2pm.
