Program

BUMP THE TRIANGLE PRESENTS the Annual Black Music Month Celebration, uniting the community around our musical heritage - to enjoy the music of talented performing artists, to celebrate the positive impact of local musicians and organizations working to empower our youth through music, and to raise funds for BUMP.

Artists: Durham Symphony Orchestra, William Henry Curry, conductor, 100 Men in Black, and Ubuntu Music Academy

Orchestral repertory: Curry"Eulogy For a Dream" with Assistant Conductor, Shelley Livingston conducting and the composer reading the words of Martin Luther King plus "The Entertainer" Rag by Scott Joplin and an orchestral medley of Duke Ellington's greatest hits.

FREE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FAIR 2:00pm - 3:30pm Enjoy food, fun and fellowship with interactive family workshops and visit with community organizations that serve our youth
TICKETED CONCERT 4:00pm - 5:30pm Featuring Durham Symphony Orchestra with Combined Choirs, 100 Men in Black and the Students of Ubuntu Music Academy  
RECEPTION 5:30pm Meet the evening's performers and enjoy refreshments
