Program

This renowned chamber ensemble returns to UNCSA for a concert of diverse gems from the 19th century. Beethoven’s variations on a Mozart melody, Schubert’s creation for the arpeggione and Giovanni Bottesini’s virtuoso showpiece for violin and double bass fill the first half of the concert with enchantment and surprise. Then the artists join forces to perform Schubert’s “Trout Quintet,” which has garnered a reputation as one of the most popular works in the chamber repertory.Musicians include Orion Weiss, piano; Paul Huang, violin; Paul Neubauer, viola; Keith Robinson, cello; and Xavier Foley, bass.
