"In 2000, the Vienna Boys’ Choir performed at the very first Marvelous Music concert. We are pleased to bring them back for this inaugural season at the Cary Arts Center. The choir was founded more than half a millennium ago by Emperor Maximilian I. Today, around 100 choristers between the ages of ten and fourteen are divided into four touring choirs. These choirs perform around 300 times each year in front of almost half a million people. They visit virtually all European countries, and are frequent guests in Asia, Australia and the Americas. The choir aims to teach the boys to become well-rounded, independent, generous and open human beings. The boys come from all over the world, including Europe, Asia, the United States, and Australia. Tickets on sale Sept. 28."
