Soprano Elizabeth Joyner is featured in music by Handel and Vivaldi that deals with the darts and arrows of love, sweet refuge for the heart, and fury for love unrequited. Our program includes Handel’s poignant Lascia ch’io pianga and his fiery Da Tempeste. William Simms, theorbo, joins Beverly Biggs, harpsichord, in creating a rich and varied continuo, supported by baroque cellist Barbara Krumdieck.
