Program

NC Master Chorale and Music Director Al Sturgis will welcome renowned conductor and composer Roland Carter for an afternoon of hope expressed through music. The performance at Christ Baptist Church in Raleigh includes Hailstork’s three-movement Psalm cantata “I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes.” Maestro Carter will conduct the Chorale in performances of his own arrangements of "Ride On, Jesus" and "Steal Away" among others. Craig Hella Johnson’s piece composed in memory of Matthew Shepard, “Meet Me Here,” and David Conte’s “I Dream a World” offer food for thought and healing music for a hurting world.
